Empty Cups

All shapes are waiting for a drop
all sizes large and small
Wanting so to hold and say
a little for you all

Empty Cups and each so different
calling to our ears
Do not fall and break now friend
be careful through your years

Do not mistake your emptiness
for what one can’t provide
To fill the hollow bottom up
and have you at their side

For each may fill their very own
and pour till thirst is waived
The drink is found in our belief
that all who try are saved

For Empty Cups are nothing more
than what we all may find
Moments when we swallow want
and pray that time is kind
