Introductions

I saw you on your way today
mixed within the crowd
Silenced all my words to say
sending thoughts aloud

There they flew in route to you
gliding over shoulders
Thoughts that pressed upon my chest
as if they had been boulders

Perhaps I’ll gather courage
making my own way
Through the morning travelers
then to hear you say

You wanted so to say hello
but waited for the day
No longer would I glance afar
and keep your heart at bay
